Taking a lifelong love for animal care down a new trail ride...
Originally from Mexico, our farrier Gustavo Vela Munoz left his veterinary practice in Veracruz to explore new opportunities in the United States.

Here in Minnesota Gustavo has worked for seven years with cows and horses as a veterinarian technician and vet assistant.
​
His mission is to provide outstanding care for animals in an environment and manner that fosters compassion, safety, and excellence.
ABOUT MIDWEST FARRIER SERVICES
Gustavo's background in veterinary training and running his own practice allow him a deep understanding of animal health, safety, and wellbeing. As a farrier, his focus is on providing a good balance of hooves to give strong, stable support and base that allows for proper alignment that supports joints and ligaments.

After training on the job as a farrier, he began to offer services primarily in rural areas of Wisconsin and Minnesota due to the need for farriers. His love for horses and the need for more farriers were the reasons why we decided to start our new adventure and develop Midwest Farrier Services.

Our mission is to provide trustworthy, quality care to horses.
